The price of a Live Scan varies and it is not one price fits all. The cost of a Live Scan is determined by several factors such as:
A. The ORI number to the top left of the Live Scan form. This is the number assigned to the organization requesting the Live Scan, and it determines the level of service they are requesting for the Live Scan.
B. The level of service requested. Is it both the DOJ and FBI background checks, or just the DOJ? A Live Scan requiring both levels of service costs more because both the DOJ and the FBI must be paid rather than just the DOJ alone.
C. Does the employer have a billing number? This means that the employer is paying the cost for the DOJ and/or FBI fees, and the prospective employee is paying just the service charge of the Live Scan operator.
The price you saw on the site is just our rolling fee (service charge for conducting your Live Scan). The DOJ does not put their own fees there, but they must be paid.
You don’t need an appointment during our regular business hours, and we accept credit or debit cards, cash, and digital payments (Zelle, Apple Pay, Cash App, Venmo).
If you have an electronic copy in your email or phone, yes, we can help you print it out at no extra charge. We cannot, however, just give you a form without knowing exactly what you need it for or who is requesting it.

A. One original copy of any document that shows US citizenship or permanent residency, and your State-issued Driver’s License or Identification card.
B. Citizenship documents are either a US Passport or a US Birth Certificate.
C. Permanent resident card or a valid work authorization.
No, you do not need to make an appointment to come in during our regular business hours, but appointments are also encouraged.
We only accept both credit and debit cards, company checks or money orders. If you have the appropriate authorization code from any airline, credit card or agency we accept that too. We are strictly no cash, no digital payments, electronic payments or Apple tap pay.
